I am overjoyed to be able to offer this amazing costume
I just purchased this along with others from the estate of Jean Aloise (Jean Martin) Hollywood dancer, she was active in the 40's, you can google her name to see her dance in one video. She was also married to Gene Nelson from Oklahoma! in the 90s. I was personally in her 3 million dollar condo in San Mateo California. She is in her 90s, although I did not get to meet her.
Its so rare to have provenance on these costumes
This costume is a 3 piece set, Black lace, cropped top, the hooks in the front, then has a sequin appliqué design that snaps over, very low cut, with paste stone on wither side measuring over 1", with the back having a really neat corseted style at the center. Cuffs come to a point with zippers to close. Shoulder pads. Some rips to the lace in areas, doe snot distract. Skirt is possibly silk, I'm almost sure of it, waist has a hook eye closure at back but is corroded, and the hooks are missing. Shorts are also part of the set, as she did a lot of backflips !
